Martin Baumgartel studied mathematics in Germany. After conducting research projects at Deutsche Telekom research labs, he relocated to the U.S. and run search innovation and  operations for corporations like Disney and Verizon.
Subsequently, he focused on e-commerce search and worked at larger retailers like JC Penney and The Home Depot. Due to his search experience in multiple verticals, he is also a frequent speaker at e-commerce events.
